Japanese Hojicha Tea is made by roasting green tea leaves with charcoal so it has a very different taste and color than traditional green tea. Hojicha tea is also very healthy and often consumed after a meal in Japan. Hojicha tea is served to hospital patients as part of their meals in Japan because of it’s excellent detox properties that benefit health and digestion. Hojicha tea has a stronger wheat-like taste compared to the light flavors of traditional green tea. This Limited Sale Hojicha Tea was made in Shizuoka, Japan and won the Gold Award (highest prize category) in the World Tea Contest.

Hojicha Tea can be prepared either Hot or Cold:

Hot: 5g Tea Leaves + 300ml Water at 215℉ (100℃) + 2 Minutes. (Per Serving)

Cold: 5g Tea Leaves + 400ml Water + Ice. (Per Serving)
